Abstract:

The work can help understand the poetics of the immortal soul concept definitions using the lyric poetry by M. Y. Lermontov as the research material. Artistic definitions and epithets allow us to identify the key features of the artistic anthropology, ontology and metaphysics of the Russian romantic, his ideas about spiritual substance, the earthly realm and celestial world. The specific scientific task of the article is to consider the most frequent artistic definitions in the context of specific lyrical texts. The work is based on the methodology of quantitative and qualitative content analysis, methods of historical-genetic, cultural-historical, and hermeneutical analysis. The work considers both the semantics of individual artistic definitions and epithets, as well as the leading synonymic series. The results of the analysis can be used in the university teaching topics related to the work by M. Yu. Lermontov, in the comments preparation and reference publications.
