Perspective directions for the use of corpus research in the information
training of future teachers of philology
Abstract: The article explores the possibilities of corpus research in the information training of students in the
philological direction. The problems of the research are due to the fact that the introduction of elements of corpus methods
into the educational content of the disciplines of the information and communication block requires the development
of specific laboratory tasks. The purpose of the article is a practical justification of the effectiveness of the use of corpus
linguistics software in the educational work of students. The methods of research work were the analysis of scientific and
educational literature on the stated problem, the generalization of teaching experience, and the content of textbooks on the
use of information and communication technologies in linguistics. As a result of the study, the authors offer methodological
recommendations for conducting a laboratory workshop using the freeware corpus analysis toolkit for concordancing and text analysis, AntConc, whose linguodidactic potential has proven itself well for work at a university. AntConc is a tool for
creating linguistic corpora, concordance compilation, and linguistic statistical analysis of texts. The interface of the case
manager and the functionality of each of its tools are analyzed in detail. Exercises for the independent work of students are
also offered as part of the development of technical skills for using this software.
Keywords: information technologies in education, information training of students, corpus of words, corpus
