Principles of designing and using of e-learning courses based on a
structural-modular approach

Abstract: The article is devoted to the substantiation of the principles of e-learning coursedesignfrom the perspective
of a structural-modular approach. This approach allows you to design a training course with the variable use of specially
created functional modules that act as structural components of an integrated system that ensures the performance
of a certain activity or several areas of activity. In this study, we consider an e-learning course as digital educational
content integrated into theamalgamatedinformation system under the objectives of professional training, ensuring the
implementation of didactic capabilities of information and communication technologies in all parts of the didactic cycle
of the learning process. The considered general didactic and specific principles of designing and using e-learning courses
based on a system-structural approach determine the requirements for designing an e-learning course as a complex integral
structure, which is a set of connections between elements in their interaction and the composition of these elements, each
of which has certain functions. Four levels of e-learning course design are identified: conceptual, technological, operational,
and implementational.

Keywords: design of e-learning courses, structural-modular approach, general didactic principles, specific design principles.
