New transaction costs and global digitalization

Abstract:

The article discusses the peculiarities of the transaction costs formation during the period of increasing digital technologies influence on the economy and transactions pattern.
The aim of the study is to supplement the concept of transaction costs in the new «digital» conditions of the economic entities activity, and to update the classification of transaction costs.
In order to systematize knowledge, a system of regulatory principles, approaches and methods is used; they help achieve objective cognition of reality studying the digital expansion impact on the availability of methods and possibility to optimize the transaction costs.
Specific mechanisms have been developed to facilitate the transition of the economy to advanced technologies and to optimize transaction costs in a new digital institutional environment. The problem of generalizing the transaction costs behavior during the period of increasing digital technologies influence on the economy and practice of transactions has been solved.
