Organizational and pedagogical conditions for the development of
universal competencies in Master’s students: integrative approach

Abstract: The scientific problem is caused by contradictions between the need in the development of systemic universal characteristics in Master’s students and the lack of systemic approach to teaching universal competencies in the classroom. The problem of the development of universal competencies in Master’s students is solved through creation of organizational and pedagogical conditions in the educational process when teaching a profession-related foreign language. The methodological basis of the study is an integrative approach to the development of universal competencies in Master’s students, and the ideas of pedagogical integration of goals, content, methods and results in the educational process. A system of organizational and pedagogical conditions for the development of universal competencies in Master’s students has been developed, including: setting a goal focus on the development of the unity of universal competencies in Master’s students; designing an integrative activity-based learning content; organization of teacher-student interaction in the educational process through the integration of competence-based teaching methods and strategies; organization of a complex assessment of universal competencies. The assessment criteria of the effectiveness of the development of universal competencies in Master’s students include two indicators: the availability of organizational and pedagogical conditions in the educational process and the dynamics of the development of universal competencies in Master’s students. The proposed system of organizational and pedagogical conditions can be used when designing an educational program and assessment tools of the discipline “Profession-related foreign language” in accordance with the requirements of the Federal State Educational Standard of Higher Education 3++.
