Spiritual and moral education of children in the context of digital transformation of education

Abstract. The problem of the study is related to the fact that the digital transformation of education is an absolutely
new stage in the development of mankind conditioned to the emergence of the latest technologies of information
transmission and assimilation. This area is still very far from perfect and is just beginning to form, it requires deep study
at all levels. Spiritual and moral education is one of the most important components of education, and the issue of using
digital technologies in this area is very relevant today. The purpose of the article is to identify the existing contradictions,
shortcomings and problems associated with the use of digital technologies in spiritual and moral education, as well as
to find possible solutions to these problems. The research is based on the analysis and generalization of fundamental
works in the field of spiritual and moral education, the use of digital technologies in education. The results consist in
the development of a digital educational resource of a spiritual and patriotic orientation; it contributes to improving the
quality of spiritual and moral education in the context of digital transformation. Spiritual, moral and patriotic education
is the most important aspect of education in Russia. It should be given great attention in the context of the digital
transformation of education taking place today. However, in practice, the digital transformation of education mainly
affects the sphere of obtaining knowledge and skills, while the field of spiritual and moral education is practically left out.
We need a comprehensive, systematic approach and a programmatic form to organize the spiritual and moral education
of children and young people. Even at the beginning of the process of digital transformation of education, it is necessary
to set the appropriate direction of spiritual, moral and patriotic education in educational programs, but it is necessary
to avoid gutting the educational process by turning it only into training. There is also a need for a deep and large-scale
study of the processes of digital transformation of education, their impact on the psyche of children and adolescents, as
well as the socio-political results of these processes.
