THE PROPAGATION AND TEACHING OF RUSSIAN POETRY IN CHINA

Abstract:

Introduction. The first translations of Russian poetry, made from other languages in order to under-stand the mentality of the Russian people, eventually generated interest in Russian culture as a whole, which contributed to the strengthening of relations between the two countries.
The purpose of the article is to consider the process of penetration of Russian and Soviet poetry in the literary field of China, to determine the circle of authors who represented it in this country.

Materials and Methods. By the method of the review the author investigates translations, editions and full scientific works on Russian and Soviet poetry in China.

Results: the history of publications of Russian poets in China is analyzed.
