Abstract:
Introduction. The article deals with the problem of technical terms polysemy.
Materials and Methods. The study was based on the investigation methods of studying methodologi-cal, pedagogical, linguistic literature on the research subject; interdisciplinary theoretical analysis; quantita-tive and qualitative analysis of research results; methods of statistical processing of actual data.
Results. The article explores polysemantic technical terms: words having double-meaning, triple-meaning, quadruple-meaning, penta-meaning.
Conclusions. In general, the special aspects of polysemantic technical terms coincide with the ability to use common words in speech and they are of the same nature and a subject to the same language laws as the words of common usage.
