Abstract:

Introduction. it is to present the ways of professional competencies formation and development in bachelor students studying Linguistics with specialization in “Theory and Methods of Teaching Foreign Languages and Cultures”. The problems of the article: in accordance with the modern requirements of the state and society to the level of foreign language teachers’ professional training, it is necessary to reconsider some issues of students training in the framework of basic university disciplines concerning the methods of a foreign language teaching. The article presents examples of methods and technologies developed by stu-dents of Foreign Languages Department studying at Dostoevsky Omsk State University. These methods were tested during students practice at schools of the city of Omsk. The paper provides actual research top-ics related to the need to develop all components of pupils’ foreign language communicative competence using the latest information and communication technologies and modern teaching methods.

Methodology. analysis of literature on linguistics, methods of teaching foreign languages, the meth-od of trial education.

The results of the study is the conclusion that the appropriate organization of training contributes to the formation and development of professional competencies of bachelor students.

Conclusions. Preparing students for a successful independent professional activity in teaching foreign languages is complex, and the priority task of the university is to create all the necessary conditions for the realization of professional competence in the process of scientific, methodological and research activities.
