GRAMMATICAL CLASSIFICATION AND METHODS OF TRANSLATION OF PHRASEOLOGICAL UNITS IN THE SPHERE OF INFORMAL BUSINESS COMMUNICATION

Abstract:

Introduction. The purpose of this article is to consider various grammatical classifications of phraseo-logical turnovers and analyze the ways of their translation into Russian. These studies are conducted on the example of idioms in the field of informal business communication.

Methodology. The research methods used are the analysis of the grammatical components of phraseo-logical units and the variants of their translation. The study was conducted on the basis of the comparative method. The material was a sample of phraseological units in the business, the total volume of 300 units. The selection was carried out by the method of continuous viewing of phraseological dictionaries of the English and Russian languages, watching the TV programs, reading business magazines and newspapers.

Results and conclusions. As a result of the study, the author grouped the studied phraseological units, taking into account their grammatical structure, determined the ways of translating phraseological units in the informal business sphere, obtained the percentage ratio of translation methods and the structure of phra-seological units. The results are of particular interest to translators. The field of application of the results can be quite diverse from specialists in the field of linguistics, intercultural communication to students, future translators, as well as people who are passionate about languages and their features.
