Originality of autobiographical prose by B. Panteleimonov

Abstract:

The purpose of the article is to show the originality of the autobiographical cycle of B. Panteleimonov’s stories against the background of the Russian emigration literature tradition. The problem is studied with the help of historical, cultural, comparative historical and culturological methods. The author notes the peculiarities of uncle Volodya as the central figure of the cycle as well as some allusions to the works of M. Twain. The narrative in the autobiographical book by B. Panteleimonov is not mainly based on the Russian literature traditions, but is largely set by the books of M. Twain.
