Abstract:

The existing approaches to social work in psychiatry affect only micro- and mesolevels. The stigmatized treatment of children and teenagers with mental disorders at macrolevel is an obstacle to their adequate support. The article proposes an integrative model of social support based on combining existing methods of social work in child psychiatry with the author’s approach to education in the field of psychiatry in extra-clinical social spaces of experts and parents. The methodological foundation of the research is B. G.Ananiev’s complex approach, which basis is integration of biological essence, psychological and social matters in a person. An integrative model of social work with the specified category of patients at different stages of the disease inside the clinic and outside its walls. Integration of social support for education of children having mental disorders at macrolevel together with the existing approaches, which cover micro- and mesolevels, makes this process more effective.
