Abstract:

This article examines the experience of training to pass USE on the English language and proves the significant role of complex approach and systematic methodology. Inspite of a wide range of possibilities, which both teachers and students have nowadays – documents, textbooks, reference books, workshops, the Internet, etc. – the necessity of extra training is still important.
Special courses at the Centre of pre-University training and education at Omsk State Pedagogical University are organized. The process is based on the theoretical background of teaching of foreign lan-guages, the English language in particular. Such training combines all modern requirements which are nec-essary to achieve the goal. The programme of training comprises all necessary themes. It is divided into three modules to «dive» into each aspect of the language (Listening, Reading, Vocabulary and Grammar, Writing) in order to «swim» later. Individual reading, time management and interactive techniques allow to use the knowledge of different aspects of the language properly while speaking.
While training the students are to complete similar tests three times. The tests are suggested by the Centre of testing and development « Humanitarian technologies» of the Moscow State University named after M. V. Lomonosov as the Centre of pre-University training and education of Omsk State Pedagogical University is a regional representative of the Institute of information technologies in education.
