EVALUATION IN MODERN ENGLISH LINGUISTIC TEXT: CHARACTER, KINDS, TYPES, MEANS OF OBJECTIVATION AND FUNCTIONS

Abstract:

The paper presents a complex analysis of the way the universal semantic category of evaluation is re- alized in English linguistic texts. Having investigated a sufficiently large text corpus, the authors arrive at
the conclusions concerning the character, kind and type attribution, means of objectivation and functions of evaluative utterances of the modern English scientific speech in the realm of linguistics.
