Abstract:
The article discusses the study of lexical motivation of words of the single thematic groups (the dialet names of plants – the phytonyms). Basing on the thematic approach to the study of the flora vocabulary it became possible to reveal the motivating characteristics determined the structure of the floral dictionary of names found in the dialects of the Omsk region. The results of the research may be interesting because it concerns problems of General linguistics, dialectology, lexicology and lexicography, history and peculiari- ties of the Omsk Irtysh region language.
