Healthy nutrition of children is a national objective of the state policy
in the sphere of education and the basis of health disturbances prevention

Abstract: There are significant violations in the structure of nutrition of various population groups including children;they are considered as the leading factors in the high prevalence of non-communicable (alimentary-dependent) diseases. The system of organized nutrition for children is a priority direction of the state policy in the field of education;it provides the foundation for a health-saving environment in modern conditions of education and upbringing. The relevance of monitoring the prevalence of these diseases among the child population is due to the need to develop effective preventive measures in the organization of nutrition in educational institutions and organizations for the improvement of children; this idea became the purpose of this study. As a result of the work, an increase in the prevalence of obesity from 2011 to 2019 was found in children by 60.2 %, in adolescents – by 57.4 %. A trend towards a decrease in the prevalence of diseases of the digestive system in children and towards an increase in adolescents was revealed. During the observation period, a negative trend in the prevalence of diabetes mellitus was revealed with an average annual growth rate of 5.9 % in children and 6.5 % in adolescents. The number of children and adolescents with phenylketonuria increased by 52.5 % and with cystic fibrosis by 43.2 %.
