Competences of a future foreign language teacher in the context
of professional activity and continuing education

Abstract: This article analyzes the system of a teacher training at a pedagogical bachelor’s program in aunified system for the formation of professional competence in modern conditions of higher education; communicative, methodological and information and communication competences are considered asthe basis of pedagogical competence being the most important part of a graduate’s professionalcompetence. The importance of continuous pedagogical education in the context of the pedagogy development in terms of active e-learning introduction is noted. The features of continuing educationof a teacher are considered, they can be implemented in several directions: increasement of the education level in a certain sphere having a Master’s degreeor attendingrefresher courses. The study is based on theoretical methods in terms of the previous works and regulatory documents analysis.
