Textual analysis of the embodiment of postmodernism signs and qualities in Russian literature (A. Bitov “Pushkin House”, V. Sorokin “Blue Salo”, V. Pelevin “The Life of Insects”)

Abstract: In our opinion, postmodernism as a phenomenon of culture and art cannot avoid being twofold – its negative and positive features are embodied most clearly in literature. The ambivalence of postmodernism, its lability and unexpectedness, associated with such main features as simulacrum, intertextuality, adherence to “remakes” and quotations, dialogue with chaos, the death of the author and deconstruction, makes it possible to consider the study of this period in cultural and philosophical terms as topical and, most importantly, in the vector of modern literature. It seems that Russian prose of the late XXth century reflects the indicated signs and features of postmodernism to the greatest extent, therefore, in this study, it will be valuable to refer to the works of Russian authors. On this basis, we should answer the question of the reality of the postmodern features existence in Russian literature and determine the possible dynamics of this phenomenon by conducting a textual-hermeneutic analysis of several works.

Keywords: textual analysis, hermeneutics and text interpretation, postmodernism, Russian literature.
