Optimization and stimulation of teaching “Theory and practice of intercultural communication” by interactive training methods (based on the experience)

Abstract:

The purpose of the article is to show the ways of optimization and stimulation of teaching ‘Theory and Practice of Intercultural Communication’ by interactive methods. The issue of the article is devoted to the introduction of interactive training methods in order to increase students’ motivation and their involvement in the learning process.
The interactive training methods and their usage at the seminars on intercultural communication are given in the article.
At the seminars and lectures on ‘Theory and Practice of Intercultural Communication’ we use such interactive training methods as interactive dialogue lectures, brainstorm, discussion, case-studies, video recordings, work in small groups, selfreflection, warm-up activities. The result of the research is the conclusion that the considered interactive training methods have many advantages and they are a relevant means of optimizing and stimulating the process of teaching intercultural communication. The use of interactive training methods contributes to the development of creativity, independence, selfactualization and self-identification.
