Methodological foundations of personalized learning

Abstract:

The article discusses the actualization of the personalized learning idea as a modern educational trend. The article considers the sense and interpretation of the term within the framework of various scientific tendencies; it also highlights its main characteristics: freedom of choice, the ability to control one’s own activities, to manifest individuality, to have an impact on others and to develop a personalized learning path. The purpose of the article is to generalize the concept of «personalized learning» and the methodological foundation of the study and introduction of the personalized learning idea into educational practice. The research is carried out mainly on the basis of axiological, anthropological, personality-oriented approaches. The results demonstrate the reasons to apply the mentioned approaches in order to introduce the principle of personalized learning idea into educational process. It is concluded that it is necessary to apply an interdisciplinary methodological approach to the problem of personalized learning idea introduction into education.
