PSYCHOLOGICAL FEATURES AND VALUES OF GENERATION Z (THROUGH THE EXAMPLE OMSK STATE TRANSPORT UNIVERSITY (OSTU)

Introduction. The paper reveals cognitive, perceptual, affective, value-motivational features of Gen-eration Z. The problem of the study is to study the transformation of youth values in the conditions of digi-talization. The purpose of the article is to study the values of student youth.
Materials and Methods. The study of values was conducted by the method of Schwartz “Question-naire”. The study involved students enrolled in the 2nd year of full-time education majoring in “Customs” at Omsk State Transport University. The study involved 10 students at the age of 19-20.
Results. The analysis of the data found that such priorities, as hedonism as a principle of life, safety, achievements, power, autonomy, and conformity are important for students at the level of normative ideals. Such values as hedonism, independence are significant for students at the level of individual priorities. The digital environment affects the psychological characteristics of young people, their preferences, interests and values. To minimize the risks associated with the difficulties of developing new civilizational relations is to preserve humanitarian values.
Conclusions. Before our eyes, there is a reassessment of values; new priorities and value-normative coordinates of living abilities of man and society begin to emerge. Hedonism as the main priority of a new man controls his behavior and thinking.
