TUTORING ASSISTANCE OF INDEPENDENT WORK OF THE FIRST YEAR CADETS OF THE MILITARY ACADEMY

Abstract:

Introduction. In the situation of changing educational paradigm it is necessary to develop new ap-proaches to solve the problem of training specialists in a modern military academy being able to think sys-tematically, having creativity, leadership qualities, noticed by their initiative and independence.

This article presents the analysis of one of the stages of the pedagogical experiment conducted at the academy; the purpose of the experiment is to test the developed methods of tutoring assistance of independ-ent work of cadets in the military academy on one of the studied disciplines.

Methodology. Tutors used such methods as: active learning methods, analysis, self-analysis (reflec-tion, educational goals reflexive report, activities to achieve the goals, analysis and self-analysis of abilities, aptitudes) of students independent work. At the same time, classes were organized in the form of individual and group tutorial consultations, tutorials (tutorial training workshop), and trainings.

Results. The results of the experiment should be conclusions about the feasibility of tutoring activi-ties at the military academy, and in particular how tutoring assistance of independent work of cadets affects the learning process and the acquisition of competencies necessary for an officer.

Conclusions. According to the results of the first stage of the experiment, it is impossible to make unambiguous conclusions about the role of tutoring assistance of independent work of cadets, but interme-diate results indicate the effectiveness of this method.
