Abstract:

Introduction. There is no doubt that environmental training of military specialists is very important nowadays. Environmental safety assurance is a unit of competency of the military professional, therefore the assessment of quality of environmental training is to be carried out as in the course of studying Ecology, as in the course of studying special and military professional disciplines using a common psychological and pedagogical approach to it. Development and implementation of common criteria of assessment of results quality in education in a military university are fundamental concepts of modern military education. This problem has not been resolved yet. Nowadays, there is no consensus on what criteria should form the basis of objective assessment. Since the military ecology is a relatively new branch of knowledge with an insuffi-ciently developed didactic apparatus, there is no general approach to assessment of ecological knowledge and skills as part of the training of a troop maintenance specialist, and there no solutions to this issue among private methods of teaching military disciplines.

Methodology. The methodological basis of the study was the provision of a systematic approach that components of the educational process are in correlation with each other (Ujomov A. I., I. B. Novik, Yu. A. Konarzewski); theoretical approaches to create an educational environment for the formation of en-vironmentally oriented worldview of professional identity (A. V. Ivashchenko, V. I. Panov, A. V. Gagarin); the psycho-pedagogical principles of management of educational process (T. I. Shamova, I. Ya. Lerner, N. F. Ephraim); the basics of developing teaching materials for the implementation of the principles of de-velopmental education (E. N. Kabanova-Meller, A. V. Usov, V. A. Shelontsev).

Results. The text contains the opinion of the author concerning the quality management of training of military specialist, grounds for the use of criteria for assessment of knowledge and skills of ecology in the military professional education.
Survey and implementation of the results were carried out in the Omsk Automobile and Armored Engineering Institute. Practical implications of the study include the description of purposes, objectives, stages of pedagogical monitoring in a military university to prove the significance of quality control of the environmental training of a military specialist, the schematic representation of the conditions and criteria for achieving such qualities as efficiency, tenacity, consistency, the consideration of examples of assess-ment of the completeness, awareness, generalization of environmental skills.
