TRAINING FOR COMMUNICATION WITH PATIENTS: ATTITUDE OF GRADUATES OF A MEDICAL INSTITUTION

Abstract:

Introduction. The researchers focus on the psychological and pedagogical category attitude, which is considered as one of the important criteria for the effectiveness of training, “directing the behavior and activities of the individual”. The aim of the study is to diagnose the attitude of graduates of the dental faculty to training for communication with patients and determining its effectiveness and improvement at a medical institution.
Materials and Methods. The article reveals the method and results of studying the attitude of medical graduates to the preparation for communication with patients. The components of the attitude to the preparation for communication with patients are studied. Three levels of attitude to the preparation for communication are described: low, medium and high.
Results. The analysis of the results of the study shows that the respondents are aware of the need to prepare for communication within the period of studying at a medical institution; the attitude to learning profession-oriented material is positive. The system character of organization of future doctors’ training to communication with patients in the context of psycho-pedagogic and clinical specialties.
