Abstract:
The article deals with issues related to the conceptual revision of ideas concerning the role of time in economy. The purpose of the article is to develop an adequate economic reality, research paradigm basing on an interdisciplinary approach; it allows studying the interrelated temporal characteristics of economy, as well as the time functions as an economy growth controller.
According to modern scientific methodology, the paradigm studying economy as a complex system within the framework of the developed interdisciplinary approach considersthe phenomenon of time as a key methodological tool for the national economy analysis reasoning from intersubjective nature of economic reality. The interdisciplinary approach helps to overcome the current pared-down version of the time interpretation.
The article shows the originality and cognitive frames for the time phenomenon interpretation in the context of economic mainstream; the article presents an intersubjective paradigm to study the role of time as a key methodological tool, as a system-forming factor and an economy growth controller. The paradigm shift involves a radical correction of research optics, a turn to describe the economy temporal measurement as its special projection.
Considering the time phenomenon as a special methodological tool contributes to a deeper understanding of the increasingly complicated economic reality, and it implies the renunciation of the prevailing paradigm, where the time phenomenon is seen as an exogenous factor. Within the framework of the presented paradigm, time becomes an expression of the complex endogenous structure of the politemporal economy, a system indicator and economy growth controller at all levels.
