The research methods used in this article are synthesis, statistical analysis and comparison methods.
The article identifies the priority objectives of the modern Russian economy.
As a result, the author comes to the conclusion that from the standpoint of the methodological principles of research, the economy stabilization means the process of bringing the economy into a stable equilibrium state. The economic community is constantly looking for the most appropriate development model. A change in economic policy implies a change in ideology, programs, goals and objectives, performers and responsible persons. The economy development of our country depends on the state of preventive and strategic measures at the state level: on the one hand, this is constant financial support, where the state is a creator of favorable conditions for business development, on the other hand, it is not enough to have only transfers – it is indispensable to have an anti-crisis program aimed to support economic growth at the expense of current consumption and the proportional distribution of transfers between current consumption and investment in infrastructure. The global economy is slowing down due to the pandemic; for developing countries (including Russia) the consequences will be stronger, as this threatens their economies with a recession.
