Modernization of teaching literature at schools in the context of digital transformation of education
Abstract. The article poses the problem of teaching literature in the context of digital transformation of education,
actualizes the priority tasks associated with teachers’ mastering effective technologies for teaching literature in information
and educational environment. The author gives a brief assessment of the foreign experience of digital transformation of
educational systems in the countries achieved high results in education. The planned results of the digital transformation of
education are laid in the updated Federal State Educational Standard of Basic General Education. However, many teachers
have not mastered the effective method of using digital educational resources yet and do not always know what new
technologies are able to improve the results of teaching literature. The main research methods were a systemic method,
theoretical and content analysis and a sociological method; all of them made it possible to analyse the state of teaching
literature in digital educational environment. The main results of the study are the determination of effective technologies
for teaching literature in the context of digital transformation of school education. This is a multimedia presentation and
hypertext services being helpful for effective work with a text; various projects including telecommunication ones; media
design technology and book trailers design; digital storytelling, long read and messenger technology; the use of digital
non-educational Internet resources that can be evolved into didactic ones. The article manifests not only the advantages of
digital technologies, but also indicates the risks to school literary education in the context of its digitalization that require
a combination of digital education technologies with traditional methods of teaching literature.
