I. S. Turgenev’s “First love” as a motif in the works by B. K. Zaytsev

Abstract:

The reception of “First Love” novellas by I. S. Turgenev being a motif in some works by B. K. Zaytsev is analyzed in this paper. The authors connections in writing and thoughts are investigated basing on comparative analysis; and the following conclusion is made: Zaytsev discovered Turgenev’s profound understanding of the nature of young love, though he transformed the acquired idea of sacrificial passion presented in Turgenev’s novellas into divine love contributing to a person’s spiritual formation.
