Abstract:

Introduction. The purpose of the article is to follow the evolution of village prose constant characters from («Matryona’s Place» story by A. Solzhenitsyn to “Maria’s Field ” play by A. Bogayev’s.

Materials and Methods. The problem is studied with the help of historical, cultural, comparative his-torical and culturological methods.

Results. The article presents observations of the problematic accents change in the development of the rural theme from the story by A. Solzhenitsyn to O. Bogayev’s play.

Conclusions. At the beginning of the 21st century village prose is in crisis, the theme of the village is developed in the new drama.
