Abstract: In modern education, systematic work on the formation of a sober worldview is not a priority. There are some preventive measures, but the educational process does not include Sobriety lessons teaching the basics of sobriety. One of the reasons is the insufficiency of the development of the scientific and theoretical basis of the pedagogy of sobriety. The purpose of the article is to develop an evolutionary model of sobriety. The method of categorical-system methodology i.e. “order of sequencing goals” is applied. The results are as following: the patterns of the “sobriety” phenomenon evolution are revealed basing on the categorical approach; they allow to theoretically substantiating the sequencing of the processes of the sober worldview formation among the younger generation. Conclusions: the process of the “sobriety” phenomenon evolution proceeds non-linearly; the approval and preservation of sobriety leads to an increase in the resource indicators of society and the state; a certain quality of the environment and education is required to initiate and activate the processes of approval and preservation of sobriety.
