Board games influencing socialization of adolescents

Abstract: The article raises the problem of the difficulties of young people interaction in the modern information world, since the circle of communication for adolescents is quite narrow, often virtual, and the skills of constructive communication and behavior in society are not sufficiently developed. Society needs modern technologies of socialization, the organization of “live” communication, providing an opportunity to create a worthy alternative to Internet communication. One of these methods is board games. The purpose of the article is to study the influence of board games on the socialization of adolescents. During the study, theoretical and empirical methods were used: analysis of research literature on the problem, remote polling of Tyumen residents using the Google-Forms service, individual conversations, a game library for adolescents and young people, generalization of experience in identifying the real state of the problem in practice, processing the results and their graphic modeling, conducting a survey of a group of players to determine the Sishore group cohesion index. The obtained results show that the method of conducting Play Libraries using board games is promising for the process of socialization of adolescents, strengthening relationships, and the emergence of cohesion in a team.
