The research is carried out on the basis of methods of analysis of scientific and methodological literature and generalization of modern educational methods in choreographic education, as well as the use of various diagnostic methods – a conversation, a survey, a questionnaire and methods of mathematical statistics for processing the results. The author of the article has made an attempt to determine the main professional characteristics of a modern teacher-choreographer, to identify the main components of the individual style of the choreographer’s pedagogical activity. With the help of the identified professional characteristics, an algorithm for taking into account the requirements of employers is proposed and the periods of formation of professional skills of bachelor students in the direction of “Choreographic Art” are identified, tasks, means and their result are determined. Based on the results obtained, the algorithm of work on the preparation of a modern choreographer student is presented, which is universal for a university teacher when teaching professional disciplines of the training course. Such an algorithm will allow combining both the indicators of the formation of competencies of a university graduate and the requirements of employers in the field of art. The conducted research allowed us to substantiate the importance of continuous improvement of the basic educational program of the bachelor’s degree directly (selection of a line of elective courses, a number of elective academic disciplines), as well as expanding the analysis of interdisciplinary connections and the selection of educational and methodological mainly material for the preparation of a sought-after choreographer student in the labor market.
