The patriotic education of a technical university graduate
Abstract: The article deals with the problem of finding possible ways to increase the effectiveness of patriotic education of a future graduate of a technical university. On the basis of the information and analytical review, as well as a critical assessment of the situation in the country’s higher educational institutions, the main trends of the patriotic education system operating in them have been identified. Three main theses are formulated, which, according to the authors, should underlie its ‘reset”. It is concluded that patriotic education needs a technological breakthrough, no less than the economy of the Russian Federation. The prerequisites are determined for ensuring the innovative, breakthrough, nature of patriotic education of a graduate of a technical university and examples of specific activities are given, including within the framework of the Strategic Development Program of Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University n. a. R. E. Alekseev and in the design of the main professional educational programs for the bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy. Particular attention is paid to the role of participants in the educational process, unused reserves for educational work are considered. The authors note the positive experience of a personality-oriented approach to the patriotic education of graduates of a technical university.
