Methodological aspects of the visualization tools use in the content of electronic textbooks

Abstract: The article is devoted to the issue of improving the efficiency of the use of electronic educational resources (EER). The research area is the methodology for the development and use of EOR in a military university; the object is the use of electronic textbooks in teaching ecology; the subject is the methodology for using visualization tools in the content of electronic textbooks as a didactic means of organizing educational and cognitive activities of cadets. The research is based on the provisions of the cyberpedagogical methodology and ideas about learning based on an event-based approach to the organization and conduct of classes, which contributes to the disclosure of the personal potential of students: the structure of the electronic textbook should be built on the basis of the principles of completeness, integrity and non-redundancy of the material; the didactic content is subordinated to the diagnostically formulated goal of training, which contributes to the inculcation of activity skills, based on stable internal criteria and the stability of semantic orientations against the background of changing external conditions. The analysis of pedagogical ideas on the development and use of electronic textbooks is carried out, the problem of the use of cognitive functions of visualization tools is updated. A survey of teachers was conducted, which allowed us to identify a number of methodological problems in the use of electronic textbooks in the educational practice of a military university. An example of the use of visualization tools for the organization of educational and cognitive activity (UPD) of students to achieve different educational goals is presented, and the “critical points” in the development of the discipline through the use of content built on the basis of visualization tools are identified. The material of the article may be of interest to teachers who develop author’s electronic manuals, as well as all those who seek to improve the information culture of the educational environment.
