The concept of “motherland” in the collection of selected poems “Confession of a pagan” by A. S. Tarkhanov

Abstract. For the first time the concept of “motherland” in the work of the Ugra poet A. S. Tarkhanov is analyzed,
the article also describes the field of the concept, its poetic embodiment, and notes the poet’s original vision of the idea
of patriotism. The article deepens the ideas about the features of the author’s worldview. The focus of the research is
concentrated on the presentation of the concept of “homeland” in the individual author’s picture of the world. The analysis
of the collection of selected works “Confession of a Pagan” shows that the author’s concept of “motherland” consists of
different semantic components. The following features are highlighted in the nominative field of the collection: Russia,
small motherland, family, mother, home, nature, history. The concept, as a component of the poet’s conceptual sphere,
appears in poetic texts as the main carrier of the poet’s ideas about cultural, historical and ethnic values.
