Correlation of self-esteem of psychological well-being and motivational personality profile

Abstract. The article presents a study of motivational and self-evaluating personality processes at the stage
of training. The purpose of the article is a theoretical and empirical discussion of the influence of the psychological
well-being of the individual on the features of the motivational profile in the process of professionalization. The study
was conducted on the basis of a system-activity approach. During its implementation, theoretical research methods
(analysis of psychological and pedagogical literature) and empirical methods (testing, correlation analysis, mathematical
analysis and data interpretation) were used. In particular, the methods used were the “Scale of Subjective Well-being” (a
modification of MV Sokolova) and the “Motivational Profile of the Personality” (V. E. Milman), which went through all the
necessary validation procedures and allow obtaining objective data about the personal characteristics of the respondents.
The results are that the relationship between the self-esteem of subjective well-being and the emotional-motivational
structure of the personality is revealed. The problem areas in the psychological and pedagogical support of the future
specialist by the teacher are determined. It is concluded that with a fairly stable structure of motivation its emotional
component determines the psychological well-being of a person; it significantly affects the current results of his activity
and interaction with the environment. It is proposed to introduce into the variable part of the educational programs of
universities that train social specialists (teachers, doctors, etc.) practical exercises to develop a reflective assessment of
the process of personal-professional development, to equip the teacher with psychological and pedagogical support.
