SOCIO-PSYCHOLOGICAL FACTORS OF INDIAN STUDENTS’ ADAPTATION TO THE EDUCATIONAL CONDITIONS OF KARAGANDA MEDICAL UNIVERSITY

Abstract:

Introduction. The relevance of the chosen topic was the reason for the internationalization of educa-tion, as well as the need to solve the problem of adaptation of foreign students in a new intercultural educa-tional environment. For successful integration of foreign students, it is necessary to know the individual characteristics of their adaptation. So far, the problem of adaptation of foreign students from the country of India has been insufficiently covered in Russian and foreign psychological science. Therefore, it is neces-sary to consider the problems of intercultural adaptation and real proposals for its implementation.

Materials and methods. The article considers the complex aspect, the implementation of which–in connection with competence, activity, personality-oriented approaches–provides a higher quality level of continuing education. The solution of research problems was provided by a complex of general scientific methods such as classification, modeling, comparison, contrast and generalization, as well as experimental methods involving diagnostic tools, statistical processing and expert assessments.

Results. The article presents the main components and their characteristics: motivational, cognitive and reflexive ones. By means of experiments, the effectiveness of the educational process with the use of special training of students for educational activities is shown.

Conclusions. The practical significance of the research consists in developing the necessary circum-stances for the effective operation and functioning of foreign students in foreign language environment, socio-cultural and socio-pedagogical areas through solving problems and their active entry into new macro- and microenvironment.
