Abstract:
Introduction. Mass introduction of digital technologies is one of the basic projects capable to provide fast transition to the sixth technological way. Digitalization in agriculture, which is one of the most important branches of a national economy, is also actual. The purpose of the article is to introduce specific decisions directed to digitalization of the branch, including preparation of the professionally-oriented personnel.
Materials and Methods. The research was conducted based on the methods of studying and theoret-ical analysis of regulatory and legal framework; the monitoring of the current positions of regional agricul-tural producers; the examination of information and education resources (in terms of one of the branch higher education institutions of the Russian Federation).
Results. The results of the conducted researches enabled to develop a general model structure of the regional platform “Digital Agriculture of Omsk Region; to define prospects of development of agricultural science and education in the conditions of digital transformation of the branch.
Conclusions. Digital transformation of the branch for the educational institutions became a true chal-lenge regarding the introduction of innovations, the conditions provided for effective increase of the digital literacy level of the population and real expansion of information space of the region.
