EDUCATIONAL CASES AS A MEANS OF PRACTICE-ORIENTED TRAINING OF HIGH SCHOOL TEACHERS OF VOCATIONAL EDUCATION

Abstract:

Introduction. The need for rapprochement of fundamental professional and pedagogical education with real pedagogical practice is realized in the conditions of transition of higher professional and pedagogical education to a new educational standard. The results of its acquisition are presented in the form of universal, general professional and professional competencies of teachers of vocational education. The problem is a pro-ject planning of such teaching aids that provide practice-oriented training of teachers of vocational education in accordance with the professional standard of the teacher of vocational education. The purpose of the study was the theoretical justification, project planning and experimental testing of educational cases as a means of practice-oriented training of teachers of vocational education at a University.

Materials and Methods. The methodological basis of the study was the competence approach to the training of teachers (N. F. Radionova, A. P. Tryapitsyna). The scientific ideas on the organization of contextual training (A. A. Verbitskiy) were the theoretical basis of the study. A set of methods such as theoretical methods (analysis, comparison, specification, generalization, modeling); empirical methods (pedagogical experiment, the analysis of products of activities) were used in the study. Four teachers and forty-six students of the course of training “Vocational education”, profile “Transport” took part in the study, conducted in SibADI.

Results. The results of the theoretical analysis of the problem of project planning of means for prac-tice-oriented training of teachers of vocational education at a University in the Russian and foreign peda-gogical science are presented. Structural components of educational cases on general pedagogical and pro-fessional pedagogical disciplines are defined. They are: organizational-methodical, informative, criterion-estimated ones. The forms of the presentation of educational cases, such as a text, multimedia, a game, are marked. The example of one of the designed educational cases on the discipline “Psychology of profession-al education” is given. The results of experimental approbation of the designed educational cases on general pedagogical and professional pedagogical disciplines are described. The cases assume the solution of actual professional pedagogical tasks connected with the realization of the labor functions specified in the profes-sional standard of the teacher of professional training.

Conclusions. The rapprochement of fundamental professional and pedagogical education with real pedagogical practice can be ensured using educational cases on general pedagogical and professional peda-gogical disciplines in the professional training of teachers at the university.
