DIDACTIC GROUNDS OF PROJECT TEACHING IN THE PROFESSIONAL TRAINING OF FUTURE TEACHERS

Abstract:

Introduction. The article reveals the problem of project teaching in the training of future teachers in view of the realization of methodology of social constructivism at schools. The article summarizes research and methodological grounds of the problem as well as the authors’ long experience in project teaching at Omsk State Pedagogical University.

Materials and Methods. The main methods are theoretical and methodological analysis of regulato-ry documents in the sphere of higher education; scientific works; papers devoted to different aspects of the contents and organization of project teaching of future teachers.

Results. The article describes the essence and the peculiarities of project teaching in professional ed-ucation of future teachers in the logic of activity approach. Methodological aspects of project teaching are revealed in the logic of the competence approach by describing the student’s and the teacher’s activity. Pro-ject teaching organization in the educational process of the pedagogical institution is identified.

Conclusions. It is concluded that the transition in education to the strategy of social project planning and construction actualizes project teaching as methodology of practice-oriented model, both in schools and in professional education. Project technology gives an opportunity to prepare a future teacher for teaching at a modern school, which is characterized by high changeability and uncertainty. The organization of pro-ject teaching implies an active independent student’s work with life and professional problems. The me-thodical aspects of the contents and the organization of project teaching are connected with the content ne-gotiation of work programs of university courses and the realization of the technologies of teaching and social-pedagogical project planning in the educational process of a higher institution.
