FOREIGN LANGUAGE COMMUNICATIVE COMPETENCE DEVELOPMENT OF NONLINGUISTIC FACULTY STUDENTS

FOREIGN LANGUAGE COMMUNICATIVE COMPETENCE DEVELOPMENT OF NONLINGUISTIC FACULTY STUDENTS

Introduction. The objective of the article is to develop the technology of pedagogical management of developing foreign language communicative competence of students of nonlinguistic faculties and to implement it at the level of creating a learning guide.

Materials and methods. The author uses culturological approach, that enables considering compe- tence as an ability of the subject of culture, having a certain type of conscience. Level of conscience of the subject of culture determines the qualitative capacity of his or her ability. The research is carried out on the basis of general scientific methods of analysis, synthesis and generalization.

Results. The article defines structural components of foreign language communicative competence, considers main types of learning strategies, that are necessary for learning a foreign language in an inten- sive mode of studying. The author suggests the technology of pedagogical management of developing for- eign language communicative competence with the use of learning strategies and its implementation on the level of creating a learning guide for students of nonlinguistic faculties.

Conclusions. The author comes to the conclusion that in order to develop foreign language commu- nicative competence of students it is necessary to create modes and conditions that provide creative produc- tive communicative students’ activity in the foreign language and enable bringing the learning process clos- er to the future students’ professional activity.
