BIOMECHANICS OF MOVEMENT AS A NATURAL CYCLE OF HUMAN VITAL ACTIVITY (ON THE EXAMPLE OF MASAI DANCING)

BIOMECHANICS OF MOVEMENT AS A NATURAL CYCLE OF HUMAN VITAL ACTIVITY (ON THE EXAMPLE OF MASAI DANCING)

Introduction. Masai dances are unique from aesthetic and cultural points of view. They are original and they are not repeated by anyone in the world. This tribe is the only one in the world using no drums. The dance traces the culture and traditions, social aspects of the community living in a separate area. The dance shows the biomechanics of movements as a natural cycle of human life and activity and is of scientific interest to conduct a research has not been done yet.

The purpose of the study is to consider the technology of dance from the rhythm and movement pace biomechanical point of view in natural conditions in compliance with religious traditions.

Methods and methodology. During the research video materials of ethnographic studies were used.

Analysis of anthropogenic data gave an idea of developmental physiology of the Masai people.

Results. Living conditions allowed this nation to form their physical qualities. Motor activity is necessary for natural economic activity and survival. Masai have optimal coordination of information motor control system of muscle contraction, which is created at the genetic level as a result of their lifestyle, not only when performing jumps in the dance, but also with other movements necessary for living and housekeeping.

Conclusions. This specifics of the body movements control allows the Masai when performing long motor activity (hunting or walking for very long distances) to expend their energy potential efficiently as well as metabolic energy of the body without replenishing due to the external environment (natural food, air temperature), especially in mountainous conditions having long treks in savannah.
