THE PROBLEM OF STUDENTS EDUCATIONAL AUTONOMY DEVELOPMENT AT UNIVERSITY

Introduction. A study on the problem of developing the educational autonomy of students is pre- sented at the theoretical level in this article. The problem lies in the need to create pedagogical conditions for the development of students’ learning autonomy conditioned by the contradictions within the modern education system. The purpose of the article is to present the main conceptual provisions describing the sys- tem of pedagogical conditions for the students’ educational autonomy development.

Materials and methods. The study is based on methods of theoretical analysis. The author dwells on the competence-activity approach as the most effective methodological basis contributed to the solution of the stated problem.

The results are the formulation of the main provisions of the students’ educational autonomy devel- opment concept being the basis to construct an educational process at the university.

Conclusions. The learning process aimed at developing educational autonomy should correspond to the psychological nature of the learning process consisting of two psychological processes: interiorization and exteriorization
