THE MAIN DIRECTIONS OF THEORETICAL AND METHODOLOGICAL SUPPORT TO PREVENT NEGATIVE CONSEQUENCES OF INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGIES USE DURING STUDENTS’ TRAINING AT HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS

Introduction. The research is carried out on the problem of ensuring the health safety of students as users of information and communication technologies on the basis of their knowledge to prevent possible negative health consequences when using information and communication technologies. The purpose of the article is to develop and substantiate the directions of theoretical and methodological support to train uni- versity students of all specialties in this area.

Methodology. The research is carried out on the basis of the following methods: theoretical analysis and generalization of the provisions of psychological and pedagogical science, the theory of pedagogical measurements; analysis of normative documents in the field of education and health care of the Russian Federation; generalization of experience of prevention of possible negative consequences for health when using information and communication technologies; analysis and generalization of research results.

The results consist in the development and justification of: scientific and methodological basis for the implementation of the students training goals in the field of possible negative health consequences pre- vention when using ICT in universities; content, organizational forms, methods, stages of training; substan- tiation of ways to assess the achievement of training; teaching, organizational support of the process of training students in this area.

Conclusions. The following conclusions are drawn: taking into account the positive results of the peda- gogical experiment, the training course in the field of possible negative health consequences prevention when using information and communication technologies should be implemented not only within the framework of the academic discipline “Physical Culture”, but also within the framework of an independent course, an advanced training course, the academic discipline “Information and Communication Technologies”, other disciplines for schoolchildren, students, graduate students, students of advanced training faculties.
