THE DISPUTE ABOUT PHILOSOPHICAL  PROSE IN “DEMONS” NOVEL  (V. S. PECHERIN, I. S. TURGENEV, F. M. DOSTOYEVSKY)

Introduction. The article investigates the birth of philosophical prose in a dispute about these forms in the “Demons” novel by F.M. Dostoyevsky. The purpose of the article is to compare different philosophical forms in literature.

Materials and methods. The problem is studied by a comparative-historical method.

Results. The results confirm that the philosophical prose of Pecherin and Turgenev is outdated and does not correspond to the epoch.

Conclusions. The authors claim that the parody in the novel helps in the formation of Dostoevsky’s philosophical prose.
