RUSSIAN DANCE STYLE PECULIARITIES MASTERING THE IN THE PROCESS OF PROFESSIONAL TRAINING OF CHOREOGRAPHIC STUDENTS

Introduction. The actual problem of mastering the style features of Russian folk dance by students of choreographic specializations in the system of higher professional education is considered in the article . Russian folk dance is one of the most widespread and ancient forms of folk art, it gives a broad idea of the national dance as a part of the spiritual wealth and cultural heritage of the Russian people, instills respect for folk traditions. Being an independent kind of choreographic art, Russian folk dance occupies a signifi- cant place in the system of higher professional education.

The main directions of modern study of regional and style features of Russian folk dance culture are formed under the influence of a number of factors, the main of which are: public recognition of the im- portance of traditional folklore, including dance, as a form of cultural and historical memory of the people; increasing the role of cultural heritage in the life of modern society; the need for further study, preservation and reproduction of original dance traditions of different regions of Russia in modern conditions; increasing the requirements for the professional competence of specialists in the Russian folk dance culture requiring time and real choreographic practice. In this regard, it seems relevant to improve the quality of the training of professional choreographers in a higher educational institution, who have an optimal level of competence in the field of Russian folk choreography, capable of independent creative activity.

The purpose of the article is to theoretically substantiate the main stages of mastering the Russian folk dance style features by students of choreographic specializations.

Various definitions of “style” in dance concept culture are given, characteristic features of style in Russian folk dance concept are highlighted. The description of the main regional styles of Russian dance is given, the specifics of which are determined by cultural-historical, ethnographic and socio-economic factors.

Conclusions. It is concluded that the indicated stages of training will ensure systematic development, improving the quality of the educational process and the consistent mastery of the students’ professional skills in the field of Russian folk dance. The research results presented in this article can be used in the practical work of teachers of Russian folk dance of secondary and higher educational institutions of culture.
