INTEGRATION OF MASS OPEN ONLINE COURSES  INTO  EDUCATIONAL PROCESS OF TERTIARY INSTITUTION: FOREIGN PRACTICES

Introduction. The development of open education has a significant impact on traditional forms of education in the University and leads to the emergence of new forms of educational process. The work is devoted to the analysis of foreign practices of the use of mass open online courses in the educational process of higher school.

Methods and methodology. The examples of educational programs implemented on foreign online platforms are analyzed. The models of integration of open online courses in the educational process presented in the works of foreign researchers involved in the integration of mass open education are considered.

Results. The possibility of integration of moocs into traditional models of education, including the formation of communicative and foreign language skills of students.

Summary. The systematic use of mass open online courses in the educational process of the University provides a solution to a set of educational problems. Moocs are a powerful resource that complements traditional forms and methods of teaching in higher education.
