Language quickly responds to the needs of society, and this especially affects the replenishment of the lexical stock of the language. The relevance is the influence of foreign vocabulary on the worldview characteristics of the native speaker and on the peculiarities of the language system itself. The article refers  to a case study in the field of philology. In this study, a large volume of material is analyzed used in the speech of various social groups, professional communities. Both negative and positive aspects of the influ- ence of borrowings on the transformation of the language were noted, both in the examples and in the works of well-known linguists and sociologists.
