Abstract:
The present article tackles an important issue in modern education, that is the development of critical thinking skills in postgraduate students. A model of activating mental experience of such like students is considered. Three levels of mental experience are pointed out: cognitive, metacognitive and intentional. Their notions are clarified. Techniques of developing mental experience in postgraduate students during studying English at university are given.
