Abstract:

The article discusses the problems of сlip thinking of young people and ways of adaptation of the system of teaching higher mathematics to account for this phenomenon. Analyzes positive and negative aspects of сlip forms of perception and information processing. A comparative analysis of сlip and concep-tual thinking. Offers guidance to overcome negative characteristics of сlip thinking. The examples show the possibility of a number of teaching methods for the integrated use of сlip and conceptual thinking while learning mathematics.
